How to delete BiNotePads data

1. Overview

This Data Deletion page explains how users can delete guest notes, account notes and account-related information from BiNotePads. BiNotePads is designed for quick online notes, browser-based writing and text tools, and we want users to understand how their information can be removed.

The deletion process may differ depending on whether you use BiNotePads as a guest or as a registered user. Guest notes are usually stored in the browser on the same device. Registered account notes may be stored with your account when account sync or saved-note features are used.

2. Guest Notes

If you use BiNotePads without creating an account, your guest notes may be stored locally in your browser storage on the device you are using. These notes are not designed to sync across devices unless you create an account and use account-based features.

You can delete guest notes in the following ways:

  • Delete individual notes from the BiNotePads notepad interface where deletion options are available.
  • Clear this website’s local storage or site data from your browser settings.
  • Clear cookies, cache and site data for binotepads.com through your browser privacy settings.
  • Use the browser’s developer or storage settings if you are familiar with advanced browser controls.

Before clearing browser data, export or back up any notes you want to keep. Clearing local storage may permanently remove guest notes saved on the same device and browser.

3. Account Notes

If you created a BiNotePads account, your saved notes may be stored with your account so you can access them after login. Account notes may include note titles, note content, tags, favorites, deleted-note status, timestamps and related metadata.

You can delete individual account notes from the notepad interface where deletion options are available. Depending on the interface state, deleted notes may first move to a trash or deleted notes area before permanent removal.

If a trash or deleted notes area is available, you may need to empty it or permanently remove notes from that area to complete deletion. Some deleted records may remain temporarily in backups, security logs or technical records as described below.

4. Full Account Deletion Request

To request full account deletion, email us at info@binotepads.com from the email address connected to your BiNotePads account.

Please use the following subject line:

BiNotePads account deletion request

In your message, include the email address connected to your account and a clear statement that you want your BiNotePads account deleted. Do not include passwords, private keys, banking information or other sensitive details in your email.

You may also use the Contact page to send a deletion request, but using the email address connected to your account helps us verify the request more safely.

5. Verification Before Deletion

To protect users from unauthorized deletion requests, we may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner or an authorized person. Verification may include checking that the request was sent from the email address connected to the account or asking for limited account-related confirmation.

We do not ask users to send their password. Never email your password to us or to anyone claiming to represent BiNotePads.

If we cannot reasonably verify the request, we may ask for additional information or decline to delete account-related data until ownership is confirmed.

6. What We May Delete

When a verified full account deletion request is processed, we may delete or anonymize account-related data where technically and legally possible. This may include:

  • Your account profile information.
  • Your registered email address where deletion or anonymization is possible.
  • Notes stored under your account.
  • Note titles, note content, tags and related note metadata.
  • Favorites, trash/deleted note status and saved-note settings.
  • Account preferences where stored in our database.
  • Contact or support records linked directly to the account where removal is appropriate.

Deleting your account may also remove your ability to access account sync, saved notes and account-only features.

7. Shared Notes and Public Links

If BiNotePads provides shared notes or public links, deleting the original note or deleting your account may disable access to those shared notes where the feature supports it.

However, if someone copied, downloaded, screenshotted or saved your shared content before deletion, we may not be able to remove copies outside BiNotePads. Users should avoid sharing private or sensitive information through public links.

8. What May Remain Temporarily

Some information may remain temporarily or in limited form after a deletion request where necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, technical recovery or backup integrity.

Examples may include:

  • Security logs related to spam, abuse, login attempts or unauthorized access.
  • Rate-limit records and anti-abuse records.
  • Server logs required for technical troubleshooting and website security.
  • Backup copies that are overwritten or deleted according to normal backup cycles.
  • Records we are legally required or reasonably allowed to keep.
  • Aggregated or anonymized analytics that no longer identify a specific user.

We aim to keep retained information limited to what is reasonably necessary for the purpose involved.

9. Advertising and Analytics Data

If advertising or analytics tools are enabled, third-party services may process certain data according to their own privacy policies, cookie policies and retention rules. BiNotePads does not control every record stored by third-party advertising or analytics providers.

10. Deletion Timeline

We aim to process verified account deletion requests within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days after verification. Some requests may take longer if additional verification is required, if the request is complex, or if limited retention is necessary for security, legal or technical reasons.

After account deletion is completed, you may lose access to account notes, sync features and account-related settings. Guest notes stored in your browser may still remain on your device until you clear local storage or delete them manually.

11. How to Clear Guest Notes From Your Browser

The exact steps depend on your browser and device, but the general process is usually:

  1. Open your browser settings.
  2. Go to privacy, security, cookies or site data settings.
  3. Search for binotepads.com.
  4. Delete cookies, local storage or site data for binotepads.com.
  5. Refresh the website and confirm that guest notes are removed.

Remember that clearing site data may also remove theme preferences, autosave state and other browser-based settings.

12. Important Limitations

Data deletion removes information from BiNotePads systems where technically and legally possible. It may not remove information that:

  • You exported, downloaded or saved outside BiNotePads.
  • You shared with another person before deletion.
  • Was copied by another user from a shared note or public link.
  • Exists in third-party services outside our control.
  • Must be retained temporarily for security, abuse prevention, legal or backup reasons.
