Word Counter

Count words, characters, sentences, paragraphs and estimated reading time.

What this tool is for

Word Counter helps you measure the length and structure of an article, assignment, caption or speech. Processing happens in the current browser session, so the normal workflow does not require uploading the text to BiNotePads.

How to use Word Counter

  1. Enter or paste the source data and keep an untouched copy when the order or formatting matters.
  2. Choose the available options, then select Process.
  3. Review the entire result before copying, downloading, publishing or importing it elsewhere.

Sample input or options

Write clear notes. Save a copy.

What to check in the result

6 words; 2 sentences; 1 paragraph.

Before you use the output

Words are matched as letter or number groups, including some internal apostrophes and hyphens. This is why a word processor can disagree on a compound word. The character total uses Unicode code points. The reading estimate uses 220 words per minute and rounds up to at least one minute, even for an empty input. Use the submission platform as the final authority on a strict limit.

Common uses

Limits and accuracy

Counts are estimates; hyphenated words, emojis and language-specific punctuation can be interpreted differently by other editors. Keep the original text, verify important results and use a specialized application when a task carries legal, security, financial or production risk.

Privacy and safety

This tool is intended for ordinary text and development samples. Do not paste passwords, authentication tokens, private keys, payment information, medical records or confidential client data into a general-purpose web page. Closing or refreshing the page can remove unsaved input.

You can use the transformed text in your own work, but you remain responsible for checking accuracy, rights, formatting and any platform-specific requirements.

Why can the result differ from another application?

Counts are estimates; hyphenated words, emojis and language-specific punctuation can be interpreted differently by other editors. Different applications can use different parsing, language and encoding rules.
